Graduated from Rajshahi Medical college & Started professional career there in 1982. Enrolled in Cardiology practice since 1991 as an Assistant Registrar Cardiology at Rajshahi Medical College & Hospital. Joined at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital, Dhaka in 1993. Acquired Post Graduate Diploma in Cardiology from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital (NICVD) under Dhaka University 1995. Worked about two & half years under Ministry Health at Kingdome of Saudi Arabia (KSA) as Cardiology Specialist in their specialized Hospital. After returning from KSA, joined National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital (NICVD) Dhaka as Cardiology Consultant in 1998. Worked at NICVD Since then became efficient in interventional Cardiology like Angiogram, Angioplasty, Pace Maker Implantation and Valvuloplasty. Received WHO Training in Interventional Cardiology from Bangkok, Thailand & training on CT Coronary Angiogram from Bethanian Heart Clinic Frankfurt, Germany, Complex PCI training from Korea & Radial interventional training from India. Awarded FACC (Fellow American College of Cardiology) in 2008. Attended number of international in medical seminars in different countries of the world like India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, China, Hong Kong, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden , Spain, Korea, Turky & USA. Developed special interest on preventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation programme, started Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) treatment for Coronary Artery Diseases first time in Bangladesh in 2009. Received hands on training on Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Myocardial Revascularization (ESMR) Heart Therapy from Mastricht University Hospital, Netherlands in 2011 and started ESMR Therapy in Bangladesh in 2012 at Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Published number of publications in National Heart Journal Bangladesh. Involved in various social activities like free medical camp periodically arranged by JBFH & Channel I, and worked as medical partner of Channel I & Somoy TV. To save the young generation from drug addiction, took key role to form a organization named Society for Anti Addiction Movement (SAAM), Bangladesh and working as the president of SAMM. Voluntarily working as an Editor of a regularly published two-monthly Journal ‘NESHA’ to fight against drug addiction. Presently Working as Associate Professor & Unit Chief of Cardiology Dept. at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh & as Chief Cardiologist, Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital (JBFH), Dhaka.
